As an attorney, you have just spent weeks researching and preparing your oral argument for a jury trial. Before you even utter a word in the courtroom, however, you may have already won or lost your case. How?

At the most recent Inn of Court dinner and CLE presentation addressing this issue, student members Monica Barsoum (3D), Anissa Reynolds (3D), and Tim Silvester (3D) presented "Body Language and Telling Appearances of the Witness or Client," followed by a panel comprising the Honorable Liam O'Grady of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, Aaron S.

SBA Update

In an effort to keep the student body apprised of what SBA is doing, I prepared the following summary of SBA activities since the last Docket issue. At our most recent meeting the SBA set the budget for student organizations for the spring semester. We appreciate all of the student organizations taking the time to carefully consider their budgets before turning them in and all of the work that Webster Ye, Richard Peterson, and Carol Armstrong put in prior to the meeting to make it go smoothly.

In the first year, they scare you to death. . . Well, you know the rest, or sooner or later you will. At some point, you will feel drained. The draining might be
intellectual, physical or emotional , or the kind upon your wallet. For the lucky, the
draining is only of one kind.

It has now been two weeks since snowpocalypse blanketed the Washington, DC region, and it appears we still have a few more snowstorms ahead of us. Nonetheless, a proper time has passed to reflect on the recent disaster and assess its damage on our hearts and minds.

On December 17th, it felt like the world had ended. It was my last exam and everything that possibly could go wrong went wrong. I was torn between my disparity and my yearning to celebrate. With some healthy peer pressure

I chose the later. After all, I had endured the mother of all hazing.

Greetings once again, my fellow students!

Many of you have, no doubt, begun to wonder how I became the majestic specimen of the jurisprudential student that I am. There is one moment I remember in particular as the start of my journey towards becoming who I am.
