There is nothing more mesmerizing than watching Democratic leaders launch a massive, organized, yet groundless assault against a conservative for supposedly doing something they are usually guilty of doing themselves. One example of this is the Democrats' primary talking point on Iraq: "We should withdraw from Iraq because it has only been a distraction from the real war on terror!" Terrorists, apparently, are everywhere in the world except for Iraq.

Well universal health care might not be a new idea, but it certainly seems to be one that is gaining traction. And you do have to give Senator Clinton some credit: unlike Rep. Dingell, who has introduced the exact same proposal for universal health care for the last 52 years, Senator Clinton has at least modified her proposal since her failed attempt in the 1990s.

have to ask myself - to borrow a phrase from Seinfeld - is this ultimately a prize about nothing? At a minimum, it seems to have far more to do with politics than it does with peace. Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to say the global warming isn't true or that humans are influencing the environment somehow.
